will add pics one day lol
A month++ ago I ordered a bunch of secondhand AAA merch on Mercari through Z*nm*rket. On the 11th they finally arrived and today I finally picked them up! On AAA's 18th anniversary!
Waiting for it to arrive…

This was kinda torture! The package left Japan on the first day of September and I didn't hear from it up until the 11th - when it finally arrived at the post office.

Post office shenanigans! (embarrassment. I meant embarrassment. Humbling experiences.)

I went to the wrong section at first because I've never collected a parcel like this before. Thankfully the guy told me to go to the right section for parcel collection.

It was all fine and dandy - the package was correct, I signed the relevant documents, etc etc until… I had to open it in front of customs. Usually I wouldn't be phased, but the lady asked a lot of questions! Who is this group? From what year? Are these books in English or Katakana/Hiragana? Can you read Japanese? How long have you been learning Japanese? How did you learn Japanese? Do you know insert group I couldn't make out the name?

And of course she looked through the pages. A little humbling. I'm not embarrassed to like jpop groups of anything, but it's definitely something I'd only show people who would understand or share the same interest.

Then I was asked to show it to the Internal Security officer lady LMAAOOOOOOOOO I think I internally shat myself. She didn't say or ask anything too alarming. Thank god she didn't stumble upon the spread of the members at an onsen. However, she did ask me how many DVDs I brought in. I honestly didn't know. I said about 10 — a rough guess, which turned out to be correct - which honestly sounds kinda insane, now that I think about it.

I left unscathed the post office unscathed but not without wanting to shit myself.

The goods!

I said merch, but specifically I meant photobooks, the fanclub newsletters, and DVDs - not merch as in mascot stuff and posters and keychains, except for the rainbow a~panda that came with the LEAP OVER DVD set.

I don't really feel like elaborating, but here's a picture (to be added) I guess! (above-mentioned a~panda is already on a bag). The photobook set, the mirai seiki shakespeare set, the 10th anniversary DVDs and the newsletters came pristine (or almost), but the LEAP OVER DVD set was a bit dinged up. The contents were fine, although I thought the whole thing would be bigger/heavier.

extra: purchasing experience

it was my first time ordering through above-mentioned proxy, so ofc it was daunting? i guess? and also maybe not the cheapest because of the 300yen/item fee. while waiting for my items to arrive at the warehouse some of them actually got cancelled so i had to find ones to replace them. outside of that i don't really have any complaints. there was a 10-day period where i didn't hear from my package at all, but by then it was probably already out of z*nmark*t's hands. maybe i'll order through them again, but the 300yen/item fee is a little daunting.
